That is terrifying for me. It is a committment to the process that I am not sure I am ready for. I know we are going for modest. I know the goal is a mortgage that can be paid on unemployment. It is time. I know all these things. I am still not ready for the process and emotions that are involved in shopping for homes.
Our criteria is simple: A 4 bedroom home within about a 3 mile radius of my current house for under 100k. A year ago that would have been impossible. Now, it seems to be easy. I look at the listings and there are pages of 80k listings.
A big thank you to my future mother-in-law and family. Your commitment to help us with this and give us the backup we need is what makes this possible. I am looking forward to finally living with my love as a complete family and having a place that is ours.
