Return to Krista's Korner

"Each of us must come to care about everyone else's children. We must recognize that the well being of our own children is intimately linked to the well being of all other people's children. After all, when one of our children needs life-saving surgery, someone else's child will perform it. When one of our children is harmed by violence, someone else's child will commit it. The good life for our own children can be secured only if it is also secured for all other people's children. But to work for the well being of all children is not just a practical matter-- it is also right!" - Lilian G. Katz, Phd.

Ganglion Cyst

by Abbyladybug from Flickr
Repetitive motion injury.

Not pretty words, and gash-darn painful.  I have a Ganglion Cyst on my right wrist just below my thumb joint. The picture is not me, but it could be.  The issue is that it is causing pain and numbness in my fingers, especially when writing or using a mouse.  Until I buy some truly ergo gear, I am practically grounded from the computer except for job purposes.

I have a beast of a wrist brace that doesn't allow my thumb to move.  I am to rest it, then they will evaluate surgery for the cyst.

I am sure I will lose my metblog authoring.  I hope to be back to typing more in a few weeks.
