Return to Krista's Korner

"Each of us must come to care about everyone else's children. We must recognize that the well being of our own children is intimately linked to the well being of all other people's children. After all, when one of our children needs life-saving surgery, someone else's child will perform it. When one of our children is harmed by violence, someone else's child will commit it. The good life for our own children can be secured only if it is also secured for all other people's children. But to work for the well being of all children is not just a practical matter-- it is also right!" - Lilian G. Katz, Phd.

Isn't she lovely!

I found her here, where the copy text was not so bad:
This Gym Goddess pattern is a free chart from Cross-stitching is simply adorable and very appropriate for me after a very indulgent easter.

I am pretty sure stitching about exercise is the same as exercise isnt it ?

But when I went to save the chart, this is what The Chart Shop said:

Stitch this 'athletic' lady for gym goddesses who think that getting in shape is, quite literally, a piece of cake!
WTF? If it wasn't for the scare quotes and the 'quite literally', I would not be having an issue. She is quite the lovely athletic lady and shows that getting in shape or staying in shape can be fun.

Once again, say it loud, say it proud: Fat does not equal unhealthy.

My cake-hating self signing out (Konal is home sick today, so school work is crawling along)
