Return to Krista's Korner

"Each of us must come to care about everyone else's children. We must recognize that the well being of our own children is intimately linked to the well being of all other people's children. After all, when one of our children needs life-saving surgery, someone else's child will perform it. When one of our children is harmed by violence, someone else's child will commit it. The good life for our own children can be secured only if it is also secured for all other people's children. But to work for the well being of all children is not just a practical matter-- it is also right!" - Lilian G. Katz, Phd.

Great Weekend

Mom and I had a girls day out yesterday. We started the morning with a bit of shopping, went to Anne's where mom found a pair of cute black boots and I bought an awesome aqua shirt at Stein Mart. Then we went to the Arizona Broadway theater and saw Kiss Me Kate with Aunt Susan and Cousin Katie. After that we went to the mall, and my mom found an awesome leather coat at Dillards for $150 (Orginal price- $400) and I found the same shirt I bought at Stein Mart for twice the price :). We wandered the mall, and ended up at Macy's. I was really impressed by Macy's. They have changed, and the prices are in a much more reasonable range. They still have $100 jeans, but they have just as many nice $25 pairs... I bought a athletic cover up jacket for $22 there for the gym. We were so exhausted by the end of the day. I don't remember if I mentioned it, but I also got a hair cut and highlights done on Thursday. It looks really cute! Chris came over to see me after we got home and he fell asleep in my bed while we were watching TV, so he spent the night (with my mom's blessing) Today has been a lazy day, although I made eggs and chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast!
