Return to Krista's Korner

"Each of us must come to care about everyone else's children. We must recognize that the well being of our own children is intimately linked to the well being of all other people's children. After all, when one of our children needs life-saving surgery, someone else's child will perform it. When one of our children is harmed by violence, someone else's child will commit it. The good life for our own children can be secured only if it is also secured for all other people's children. But to work for the well being of all children is not just a practical matter-- it is also right!" - Lilian G. Katz, Phd.

New Years Resolutions for Stitchers

"

Set Some Annual Goals - Resolutions for Cross Stitchers

Do you make New Year's Resolutions? Why not make some stitching goals and see how many you can achieve this year?

Cross Stitcher's New Year's Resolutions:
  1. I will make time to stitch every day.

  2. I will keep my supplies organized because this will help me make more time to stitch.

  3. I will purge my collection of cross stitch patterns and supplies. I will keep only what I intend to use and sell the surplus, give the other items to another stitcher, or donate them to a charity.

  4. I will complete any unfinished projects.

  5. I will learn some new stitches or techniques.

  6. I will try a new fabric or stitching surface.

  7. I will stitch a project for charity.

  8. I will teach someone to stitch.

  9. I will share my experience with others as I participate in the Cross Stitch Forum.

  10. I will pass my tips and tricks along to others as I submit Cross Stitch Tips.

  11. I will purchase a new tool or gadget for myself.

  12. I will display at least one of my stitching projects whether it is at the local fair, at my workplace, or elsewhere in my community.

  13. I will design my own pattern(s).

  14. I will sell some of my Cross Stitch projects."
Personally, I am focusing on 1, 2 & 4....
