Trick or treat

My kids went Trick or Treating for Unicef this year. I remember when this was a tradition, but we have done it for the last two years and we take people by surprise.

At very least, people are surprised when the boys don't want candy. I have a whole spiel now- "The boys are trick-or-treating for UNICEF because they can't have candy. Please feel free to donate change, but if you don't have any, that is fine..."

We get the people with handfuls of change, and those with just a couple of quarters. Then we got the couple that gave the boys $15.

I wish more people would do this....
