Return to Krista's Korner

"Each of us must come to care about everyone else's children. We must recognize that the well being of our own children is intimately linked to the well being of all other people's children. After all, when one of our children needs life-saving surgery, someone else's child will perform it. When one of our children is harmed by violence, someone else's child will commit it. The good life for our own children can be secured only if it is also secured for all other people's children. But to work for the well being of all children is not just a practical matter-- it is also right!" - Lilian G. Katz, Phd.

This is me

Boing Boing: Life of a writer as a Zork adventure: "

> work on dissertation

You spend five minutes playing online poker.

> work on dissertation

You pick your nose.

> work on dissertation

You go to the kitchen and eat cheese.

> work on dissertation

The Mets are on. It should be a good game.

> work on dissertation

You watch the first three innings of the Mets game.

> work on dissertation

The Mets are ahead by three runs in the fifth.

> WORK ON DISSERTATION

The Mets win. You are in a study with a laptop. It is dark out. You are likely to be eaten by a grue."

I am having a lot of trouble writing a paper that was due today (thank goodness for sick kids). I think it has to do with not feeling so well myself.

Chris is right- there is something to be said for planning....
