Return to Krista's Korner

"Each of us must come to care about everyone else's children. We must recognize that the well being of our own children is intimately linked to the well being of all other people's children. After all, when one of our children needs life-saving surgery, someone else's child will perform it. When one of our children is harmed by violence, someone else's child will commit it. The good life for our own children can be secured only if it is also secured for all other people's children. But to work for the well being of all children is not just a practical matter-- it is also right!" - Lilian G. Katz, Phd.

An Explanation is in order...

You may have noticed the recent plethora of ads on my site. I realize my site is not well read in the internets, and as such, the ads are probably annoying to those that read this on a regular basis. Here's the sitch: I am poor- the web site costs money. It is as simple as that. I am actually only on google ad-sense, where I have not made enough to actually get paid, and I just recently became an Amazon affliate- which pays me in Amazon credit. I like that idea. So, if you would like to do an Amazon search or buy something- click on any of the links scattered around and do so, and I will get a little boost. Yes, I am a shameless whore when it comes to corporate america. I just applied to become an affliate for the Wal-mart movie- so if you thought of buying that, please buy it through me.

Meanwhile, I will use these tools for good, not for evil. I will strive to keep to my ever so high standards of quality (cough, cough, hack) - OK- so that is a load of BS and you are laughing right now. That's fine too.

I still wonder who reads this thing... I don't even read it sometimes, as can be discerned by the constant typos.

Also, if you do read this, I would like to develop a list of best posts. I don't want that to be just my opinion, but a general consensus. So- surf the archives, take a peek through my life, and e-mail me or leave a comment with some of your favorites.

I finally fixed the glitch that kept the blog reverting back to plain text every time I would publish- so I am happy! I also want to state that while I am very happy with library thing and my companion program, book collector, it will take a long time for me to upload my entire library. I will also need to subscribe to Library Thing at some point, since free accounts only get 200 books. I am not even 1/4 through my library and I am getting close to that.

Ok... enough desiderata. I need to go take a shower.
