Return to Krista's Korner

"Each of us must come to care about everyone else's children. We must recognize that the well being of our own children is intimately linked to the well being of all other people's children. After all, when one of our children needs life-saving surgery, someone else's child will perform it. When one of our children is harmed by violence, someone else's child will commit it. The good life for our own children can be secured only if it is also secured for all other people's children. But to work for the well being of all children is not just a practical matter-- it is also right!" - Lilian G. Katz, Phd.

Lazy Saturday Mornings

We had a houseful last night. Each boy had a friend sleepover. We went and saw Hoodwinked, which was funny and light. I didn't have high expectations of it, so I wasn't dissapointed.
And then I got to mediate all the fights the rest of the evening and this morning.

Konal's friend likes to pick on Aidan, then deny it. This morning at 6:30, he was making noises that woke even me in another room. I don't know why children deny the obvious.

Then Konal brought the festivities to an abrupt end by throwing up everywhere. The joys of childhood. He seems fine now, but I canceled all our plans for today.

So now I am just surfing the web, catching up on mail, doing laundry and putzing around. I think I am more tired than the boys now.
