Return to Krista's Korner

"Each of us must come to care about everyone else's children. We must recognize that the well being of our own children is intimately linked to the well being of all other people's children. After all, when one of our children needs life-saving surgery, someone else's child will perform it. When one of our children is harmed by violence, someone else's child will commit it. The good life for our own children can be secured only if it is also secured for all other people's children. But to work for the well being of all children is not just a practical matter-- it is also right!" - Lilian G. Katz, Phd.

Today a new sun rises for me; everything lives, everything is animated, everything seems to speak to me of my passion, everything invites me to cherish it.
--Anne de Lenclos

I want to live this quote. I try, but I never quite reach that mark. Maybe I hold myself to too high a standard? My expectations are high, is this a good thing, or a bad thing? If I can't live up to my own expectations, then will I ever find someone who lives up to my expectations for them?

I need a partner for this journey- I am not sure I can do it on my own. I am not strong enough for my burdens and I am unsure who is able to share them with me.
